The Library

A school library photographed in near darkness. Long rows of bookshelves stretch toward the back of the room. Emergency lights cast a faint green glow across the spines of hundreds of books. The checkout desk at the front is empty. Nobody is here.

Where You Are

You entered the access code at the corridor keypad and the light turned green. A panel slid open revealing a laminated instruction card. It told you the main exit also requires a terminal access code, and that code is hidden somewhere inside the library by Ms. Rivera, the school librarian.

You push open the library door. The room is almost completely dark. Emergency lights hum near the ceiling, casting a dim glow across the shelves. Hundreds of books stretch from floor to ceiling in every direction.

Ms. Rivera left a note on the circulation desk. She is famously obsessed with one particular book series and keeps personal display copies of it on shelves throughout the library. She hid a note inside each one. The notes lead to each other and the final book has the terminal access code written inside the back cover. The note tells you which series to look for.
